Book review: “Losing Neverland”

❤️ Review (no spoilers): Whoa! This book was ultra spicy. I’m not knocking it, I’m just not used to the spice. I was warned by the trigger warnings, though. 🙂 The story was so good, and I can tell the author did her research about Peter Pan. Her retelling blended in well with the original stories.

It was written partly in first person present tense, which was very different for me, and partly in first person past tense (it jumps between two different time periods). At first, it put me off, but as I continued to read, it made sense to separate the two stories by tense.

I found myself unable to put it down, which is always the mark of a good story! Some words/phrases were repetitive, definitely during the spicy scenes, but that didn’t merit enough of an issue to knock a star off!

Overall, if you like dark, spicy stories, and/or are a Peter Pan fan like me, you should definitely check out this book!
